  I had not been to the dentist since I was a child, and those visits were always filled with anxiety and a strong fear of needles. A few years ago, I had an old filling that fell out and the house tooth proceeded to break apart in it's absence. My fear forced me to just leave it for years with pain and discomfort. Finally, I was strongly encouraged to go get things looked at and was refereed to Dr. Caroline Y. Cesar. After my first visit with Dr. Cesar, my fears were conquered. Not only did her and her staff make me feel totally comfortable, they made the experience at the dentist a fun one. Every step of the way, they explained, reassured, cracked little jokes, checked in with me and made 100% sure I was comfortable. Since my last exam and cleaning was such a long time ago, they were super patient and gentle the entire time., even willing to take as many breaks as I needed. A few visits later, it was time for me to get my first cavity filled. (Not something I was looking forward to.) My heart was racing and all of the bad experience feelings came flooding in and brought me back to my childhood. This was quickly dispelled by Dr. Cesar. She came in and explained everything and reassured me that everything was going to be fine. She wasn't worried at all, and her amazing sense of calm actually transferred to me and I was instantly at ease. I was right to trust her and her team; The freezing was painless, the fillings were painless, and even after the freezing wore off, I didn't feel a thing. It was almost like it didn't happen! In fact, when I left the office after it was over, I felt a little silly for being so scared in the first place. Again, there was absolutely no pain during the whole process, just a few noises, weird smells and a little bit of pressure, but nothing to be scared about. I highly recommend Dr. Caroline Y. Cesar. Her and her staff are all amazing, warm heated, caring, compassionate people. They honestly make you feel like family when you visit them. I've you're looking to conquer your dentist fear like I did, this is where you should go.
